Best duck breeds for egg production?

I agree with the others. KCs were developed to be good layers, though they are a smaller breed and I find their eggs to be on the small side, no larger than my chicken eggs. Runners are also laying machines and are said to have the best food to egg conversion rate, so I don't know that you will get more eggs than from KCs in a year, but your feed bill will be less for an equal number of eggs, they are quite efficient.

I have Welsh harlequins and when laying, they each have consistently layed an egg every day. Their eggs aren’t special looking, but we have been very happy with production. I think the ducks themselves are quite pretty.
