Best feed I've found? Bartlett feed if you are around NC or the south.

I have tried three different feeds and my hens would eat but not that interested. They would leave the feeder when they saw me. I switched to Bartlett pellets and now I can't get them away from the feeder. They ignore me if they are eating until their crop is full. I pay $16 a bag (50lb) Anybody else noticed this with Bartlett Feed?

I looked it up, the first thing I saw that I didn't like about it is that there poultry feed has no Animal Proteins or fat in it.
Chicken need Animal and Plant protein in there diet.

Glenn, can you list the ingredients?

I have yet to come across chicken feed that has animal protein in it. I wish I could find it.
