Best flying and friendly pigeon/dove

That's odd. Kestrels are very small and usually only go after songbirds and small mammals/reptiles/insects. I'm glad it only got the tail!

yeah, im pretty sure it was a kestrel. I didnt see it but my friend who gave me the white flights today told me they will take a pigeon. He said they can't even fly with them and has to land. I guess it landed in the tree and the bird got away. He said they may only take one bite then just leave the bird. Then just moments later it showed up and flew right over to where my brothers budges were then flew off.

How far does a tippler need to home from to be sufficient ability? See thats another problem with homing haha... gas is not cheap to be doing 100 mile tosses.
