Best hatchery to order from with a minimum 3 chick order?

Is it ok to mix breeds? I really wanted Faverolles and just get all one breed since I read not to mix them but they seem hard to find.
I am torn between:
Buff Brahma
Plymouth Rock
Australorps
Red Stars
Lavinder Orp
Sussex
Barnvelder
Most places you can. I did from Meyer. I ordered a Speckled Sussex, Barred Rock, Gold Laced Wyandotte, Buckeye and an Easter Egger...

Some breeds are friendlier than others. Each bird can have a different personality too. I have one Silver Laced Wyandotte that is the sweetest chicken I've ever had. The Gold Laced Wyandotte wants to rule the roost though. My Buff Orpington will peck if you startle her and doesn't take any crap from the others. Americanas are generally skittish. Hybrids like Red Stars tend to be friendlier while heritage breeds are more cautious. I had some production reds that were really friendly and easy to handle.

Mixing breeds is absolutely fine! I have always had a mixed breed flock and they have all worked together in harmony!:D I even now currently have bantams and large fowl in the same flock!

I'm guessing it would not be a good idea to mix a Silkie in with full size chickens?
Like I stated in my other message, i right now have bantams living right along with my large fowl birds and they do just fine! I do have to figure out ways for them to get up onto the roosts but that has not been an issue, a stump and some lower poles and your good! I have a rooster/cockerel pen and a hen/pullet pen and i have a bantam birchen cochin roo in with a HUGE SLW roo and a HUGE Salmon Faverolle roo, he does great! He is even second in pecking order! I also have 2 bantam barred rocks and a red frizzle cochin bantams in with the girl (they're pullets, cochin might be roo...) they also do purfectly well with even some of the hens! Of course based on the individual personalities of your birds some may pick on the smaller ones, you will just have to see. (SORRY for such a long post!)

We got an order from Ideal last week. Everyone is doing good. Three ducklings and 3 chicks. The EE we got is a gorgeous little chick. I did the heat pack deal, but since it was over 90 in Texas and over 90 here, they called and we talked and decided no heat pad. They left Tuesday evening and arrived Thursday morning. I also posted a picture of a mystery chick on their facebook, and they ID'd it for me which was helpful.
