Here is Jacqueline the speckled Sussex! She didn’t start laying until after she got sick at 9 months old! We thought she would never lay! She would (and still will) jump up into the best box and lay her imaginary egg (after sitting for like two hours) then jump down! My friend Smiley, a 6 month old OEGB x Wyandotte bantam. She will jump up on my arm on command (if she's in the mood for a cuddle). As a chick she had a smile emoji on her head.

This is Vanilla. She’s a Super Blue Egger (EE/Leghorn cross). She was a survivor of a pretty traumatic injury as a chick, and has always been a fighter.
She’s outsmarted a hawk and recovered from a bad egg binding in just the last month.

She’s 1 year old.

She lays beautiful pale blue eggs regularly. They’re very large and round and often have a swirl in the shell.
She’s sweet to us and kind to her flock. Her golden-orange eyes are so cute.
