I have 2 of the Hovabator 1588 with the autoturners. I have one set of quail egg holders for the turners.
I use the $7.00 thermometer/hygrometer I pick up at Walmart.
It all works great. I have had very successful hatches of both chicks and quail even on shipped eggs. Usually if I get any development at all I get at 75% or better hatch.
So my own eggs do great. On shipped eggs I just had a 10/12 hatch and I have 14/18 with good movement at my 14 day candling.
I got mine from Cutler's supply, but I think they are a little pricey.
My experiences may differ from yours, but I highly recommend this incubator.
