best incubator

Brinsea. I have two with automatic turner. I bought them after 3 from TSC broke during incubation. Day 18.

My brinsea holds 24 large/jumbo eggs, and about 30 medium/large.

I preheat, put eggs in and temp remains on 99.5 consistently with zero issues.
I love mine too. Just so ultra reliable!

Mine is pretty old now...but still keeps the temp rock solid even though the temp in my house fluctuates all over the place.

Hi, which model # do you have? what material is is made of (plastic, sytrofoam, etc). Is the egg turner extra? Most Important Q for me is.... What is your hatch rate?? Thanks.
Don't know about what they have...

But i have the old model (they just came out with a brand new kind of incubator). I have the octagon 40. I busted the auto turner twice (perfect customer service, they replaced it for free, no questions when I asked). But I didn't bother replacing it a second time because I am usually home and able to hand roll the incubator anyway.

You can't soak the base, because there are small cracks that water will seep into (if you buy a used one, check to make sure they cleaned it correctly), but it is super easy and fast to clean because it is hard plastic.

The top is multi layered and clear plastic and houses the fans and heating elements, so chick dust gets up in there, and every few hatches I have to unscrew the clear plastic and vacuum and wipe all of the chick dust out.

However, the temperature and humidity gauges are spot on, and it keeps the temperature exactly where I set it even with the temperature swings in my house. (Styrofoam incubators have NOT been able to keep up with the temp swings in my house)

The hatch rate varies... but not ever due to the incubator. Shipped eggs are of course always a gamble.... One time with my own eggs I got zero hatch, because I THOUGHT I had set it to 99.8, but my eyes clearly didn't focus right... I had set it way lower... can't remember now... I have also gotten 100% hatch rates from it.

My point.... if you mess up a hatch, it is not because of the incubator.
