Best layer feed question?

Purina Layena feed is just fine.

If you have laying hens please feed them a layer type feed.

Everyone should spend time reading all of the emergency threads and pay close attention to the ones that involve shellless eggs, reproductive type disorders, and stuck eggs.
Pay attention to what that person feeds their bird.

What you feed matters.

My birds are five and a half years old and they eat layer feed. I have never had an eggshell issue of any kind.
Okay thank you for clearing it up, I got a little confused on how many opinions people have, I want to try and avoid and issues if possible and have happy healthy hens!

The best way to avoid issues is to feed them a complete balanced diet.
An age appropriate pellet or crumble feed only and not offering daily treats.

So would purina layena be a good one?
Purina is a very well known feed. My personal preference is to find a local feed company . Try to find a local feed supplier and see what they have to offer. I think more often than not you will find a superior feed for less.
