best layer for hot climate

I am in South Central Texas...have done well with leghorns, RIR's, BO's and Barred Rocks. Provide some shade and they should do well for you. Currently have a couple of EE's that are laying daily and made it through this summer fine. They might be a good option as well.
 
I have a nursery and palm farm down here, I am all about the shade, I am going to wait till spring and order a batch of sex links, I have more chickens than I know what to do with right now....

Mediterranean breeds like Leghorns often do better in hot climates. I have also heard that Australorps are real good!
