Best med for coccidiosis?

Thanks Everyone. Here is my boy Loki. I'm going to take him to the vet tomorrow if he makes it through the night. Hopefully one of the vet-meds mentioned on the thread will be faster and easier to get into him for an emergency recovery. He's been trying to eat and drink, but the foam keeps coming out of his mouth and he's having trouble swallowing. I forced some medicated water into him by a syringe, but there is only so much I can force, and I don't want to over do it if he is feeling that sick...plus he's fighting me, even though it seems like he feels a little better after. The foam and his breath have such a bad odor, I'm wondering if something else is going on too?

If there's nasal discharge, facial swelling, bubbly eyes (I dont see any of that in the pic) a foul odor would possibly indicate coryza. Most likely sour crop. You can use the search box and look up "sour crop" for more info.

Oh, that pic was taken awhile ago. But, no, he does not have facial swelling or watery eyes....just won't eat or drink and has foam at his mouth that stinks. He's very low energy too and wants to be next to me, on top of me, or cuddle. Although I'm all about being there for him, I'm hoping whatever he has is not contagious to people! Come to think of it, he had this behavior, but was not showing the extreme signs of sickness about 2 months ago. He recovered quick, but I wonder if this is the same thing. He seems so much better today too, now I'm wondering if I need to go to the vet. I probably will just for piece of mind. He is still not drinking or eating although he is much more alert and active.
