Best place to purchase egg cartons???

I don't know which way you went, but I got enough to carry me through the year at eggcartons.com for 25 cents each (misprints ~ I don't care). Eggboxes.com for the same order would have cost me 22 cents (misprints, but again, I don't care). So, no big difference. Probably depends on how many you are buying, so everybody should check both places.

I DO have every person I know saving cartons for me! I even had about a hundred cartons stockpiled when my girls started laying. I'm OUT big time ... ! I followed several ebay auctions for a couple of weeks before deciding that just wasn't an alternative.

Our local store has them for 25 cents also, but they are all jumbo, which work great for the duck eggs, but our nice large eggs look small in them. (Just for customer perspective.)

Guess we just have too many folks with chickens around here, because even at the livestock auction they get scooped up for more than 25 cents each (and they are used). Sometimes I think I get more excited about the cartons my customers are returning than the eggs they are buying these days!

I have asked friends and family to save cartons for me also but they dont deliver fast enough!!! Winter time didnt slow our girls down a bit. Yesterday we got 21 eggs from 25 girls! I will try our local feed store also.. Thanks for good tips!

You might try ebay.com or ioffer.com sometimes they have some.

I use eggboxes.com They are cheaper than eggcartons.com

As far as eggboxes.com , it is cheaper however some of our members werent that happy due to things like substitution without telling the customer, etc. so I didnt order from them, although it was tempting.Of course, even good companies on occasion aren't up to their usual standards, so it may have been a limited thing. I have ordered from eggcartons. com twice and they are excellent to work with and have a good product. On occasion, they do have free shipping specials.

I didnt have any problems with eggboxes.com They charged less, free shipping, egg cartons were shipped out very fast, and I received them promptly.

Well.. after the post above about the problems with eggboxes, I kinda cringed because I had already pressed the "Submit Order" button on their website. lol

But....

All is well!! I had NO problems with my order at all except for the fact that I thought I was getting green cartons and they turned out to be pink. Shipping was very fast and I dont give a flip about the color... lol

be careful about using "recycled" ones from family and friends... it is ok if giving them away... but youu can not use them for selling because of the USDA stamp and size-grading on them... many states have made it illegal to use any pre-printed cartons (even mis-prints) unless you have them made for you with YOUR info....

Try your local Farmers Co0op or the feed store before you order on-line-- I just found out my Farm Co-op has them 4/$100!!
