I have a buff orpington rooster and rir hen she gives me 4 eggs a week trying to incubate 4 eggs at a time doesn't seem sensible

Your local Craigslist would be another option.

I've incubated 2 eggs at a time and recently 10 eggs from a single hen. 9 hatched.
