I agree wire is a good flooring, especially for collecting the poop. The size in that link you shared looks about the size of the wire, maybe a little bigger, than what is used on my hutch. I seem to remember when building our hutch we read it can't be big enough that their feet will fall through?
Mine are pets, right now I have some sort of rope twined circular mat in their pen, (found at target) they can sit on it if they want. Funny enough, they seem to not care, and in my experience, they sit on the wire more than the mats I've given them.
Or we've bought grass mats that are edible and let them sit on them or chew them up.
