Really! Wow, that's amazing, must be one of the few leghorns who isn't deathly afraid of people lol.

I raised her from a chick, she was afraid of me until she began laying.

If high egg production is your main priority, statistically speaking Red Sex Links are the best red hens as they are egg laying machines that will churn out more than 300 large brown eggs per hen per year (even superior to the lay rate of Production Reds). For this reason sex links are the hens most commonly used by laying houses for egg production. In addtion, RSLs are generally quite docile and as TheTwoRoos pointed out, they can be sexed by color from hatching (males are whitish, females are reddish).

But they are almost always flightly.

Every Leghorn I ever had was flighty and screamed bloody murder whenever they were handled. My kids didn't like them at all for that reason and I wouldn't personally recommend them as potential lap pets.
