Best tank mates

Hi y’all! I made a thread last week I think about loosing all my fish except my swordtail, and she’s in a little 5 gallon tank currently, but will be going back into the 20 gallon this week. I bought another swordtail not really thinking and I got home and saw that it was actually an immature male (he doesn’t have a sword yet), so he will be kept in a different tank. Can he live with my female bettas in a 10 gallon? I’m wondering what the best tank mates for my swordtail are and what the best tank mates for my bettas would be. I probably won’t be getting more fish for a week or 2, but will keep a female platy with my swordtail until I get them.

Swordtails are nippy fish. I wouldn't house them with a betta. Other swordtails are best. You can also keep some Cory cats, or similar bottom dwellers. I'd avoid anything with long trailing fins, or slow swimmers. You could possibly keep some tetra, or mountain minnows. Serpae tetra might work too, but they are fin nippers too.
