I have been put into an uneasy situation in where i think i have a spreading disease. It might be maerks but im am not sure. These are older pullets and i would like to know the most humane way to cull.

There is a way posted on here somewhere about using Carbon Dioxide, but with the bigger pullets, that may be hard to do. If it is possible to get the flock tested for Mareks, you may want to look into that. Otherwise, a quick snap to the neck, or a slit across the throat will do the deed.

just my opinion, but all the methods you might hear of seem complicated, if they are chicks sharp scissors will do the trick, quick and pain less. if they are bigger wrap them in a towel chop off heads with butcher knife or equivalent. trust me its harder on you than the chickens. unfortunatly i had to cull some chicks that arrived in horrible condition ( arrived late). I was scared to do it at first but once it was done i felt a lot better. remember chickens and other animals get eaten alive every second in very inhumane ways, so i am sure no matter what method you choose it will be better than natures way.

im the less humanin person becouse of me playing football, but i pefer a quick slit of the thout, but my peferd way is axe and stump.

Why not contact your state vet to help you determine what is wrong? It may be something treatable or they could advise you or help you in culling, if that is determined necessary.

Do a search on euthanasia on this site; there is a method using baking soda and vinegar in a closed space - generates carbon dioxide which induces sleep and a relatively peaceful death for these little guys. And more peaceful for you than the snip-its-little-head off method, which is very quick, of course.
