best way to dispose of bad duck food?

The almost full 30 and 50lbs bags of pellets and corn the duck couple was dropped off with went bad (I kept it in a sealed container, not sure why this happened). The box is rather heavy and I would prefer to clean and keep it, but our recycling/garbage place wants no loose items. I don't want to attract rodents by putting it in the yard, it doesn't belong on compost, and we don't burn stuff. Do I need to transfer this to bags for disposal or is there another way? TIA

You could bury it, if you have a place you don’t mind digging up.

it would make good compost..... but either find a place to dump or bag it and dispose.
