Between Life and Death RP

Jace closed his eyes, then snapped them open with quiet intensity. "Yeah, I can do that," he said huskily. He touched Mute's arm. "One more thing," he said. "I might be able o get her there, bu I won't be able to stay. The hospital's too crowded, and - " Jace stopped, unsure whether he should admit to the extent of his pain. No, he decided. "Just... Find a way to be there, and fast." He relayed which hospital he was going to, and without another word, launched into the air. Araidna lolled in his arms.
She was so vulnerable, Jace thought. So he would protect her from himself.
He put all of his energy into flying, into using every last ounce of his strength to fly.

Mute bolted across the forest floor, unable to think about anything except Araidna's wellbeing. She watched Jace fly through the sky like a bolt of lightning, up until he was too far away to see. What do I do now? She thought helplessly, observing her surrounding for any sort of clue. There is a large cliff up ahead. If I can climb down the side of it, I might be able to get to the hospital in time. I can't go around the cliff because it'll take too long . She approached the ledge, and with a deep breath, she slowly placed her right foot onto a rock as she began to descend down the cliff.

Taylor sighed as she dropped against a chain link fence. She sat in the dusty ground, her jean jacket fell a bit forward. She hadnt found any food since two days ago, and all it was was a small pitiful rabbit she caught. She hadnt found much water, only a couple trickling streams."If only I could fly,"She murmured, watching the sky, waiting for any signs of a Guardian or someone to help her.

Jace strained, with all of his being, for two things: To get to the hospital, and to keep Araidna safe. When at last he saw the huge hospital building, he dove for it, too tired to perform an actual landing. He crashed into the parking lot, the gravel scraping at his back and wings. But Araidna was unhurt, nestled as she was in his arms.
He burst into the hospital, startling the clerk. "Please help her!" he cried, motioning to Araidna in his arms. He knew what the clerk was thinking: This boy, with his soaking shirt, desperate eyes, and wings was dangerous. Well, she was right. He was dangerous.
His fangs came out, and he struggled to tuck the bloodlust away, deep inside of him. "Take her and I'll go," Jace cried out, desperate. And it was just as well, because within a minute, a gurney and it's crew carried Araidna away.
"Another girl will come in," he told he clerk. "Her name will be Mute. And she'll - she'll talk to you," Jace said with some surprise, as he knew that Mute would, once again, break her oath. "She'll tell you that her friend should have just come. You tell her," he said, breathing heavily, "You tell her that Araidna's safe, and tell her where to find her." The clerk's face was white as she wrote this all down. Heart hammering, Jace burst through the door, away from the smell, that torturous smell. He curled up in a heap in the parking lot, his strength spent.

But hey. He hadn't killed anyone.
