Between Life and Death RP

~"I like flying," Taquickar admitted with a laugh and tracing the swirling bark of the pine with an outstretched finger. "Typical of an angel, I know. But it's just so exhilarating to jet through the sky, to attempt to burst a cloud, even though you know in the back of your mind that it's futile." He flinched at his obtuseness as he realized the mortifying significance of his words. I'll bet Melody doesn't fly because she can't see....~

Melody cheerful smile turned to one of melancholy "Yeah flying is pretty great" she whispered as she remembered a long forgotten memory of when her father would help her fly when she small, back when she wasn't afraid of the sky like she was now. She gave her head a small shake before saying "I believe it's your turn to ask the next question"

Adara entered a nearby forest, with the intention to gather some plants. That way she didn't have to leave her baby or spend hours attempting to find one animal.
Her thin fingers brushed against endless bushes. She wasn't sure what sort of plants were covering this land, so she didn't want to risk eating anything she did not recognize, but as she stumbled upon a flourishing blackberry bush a wave of relief rushed over her. She had seen these at the grocery stores in America, and knew they were safe. She picked a handful and sat against a tree next to the bush, setting her baby in her lap and eating the berries. She picked more berries until she felt like she had eaten enough, and just enjoyed the sunlight and the chance to spend peaceful time with her baby.
He was very young and was born much earlier than expected, so her husband never had the chance to think of a name, and died almost immediately after his son was born due to a Reaper. So, she was left to think of a name on her own, but was indecisive, and was still rather suffering mentally from the shock of her children and husband being murdered.

~Taquickar frowned at his own stupidity for asking such a blatantly offensive question. "Do you like interacting with humans or avoid them when possible?" he queried awkwardly after a long moment of silence.~

Melody tilts her head "That's a tough question, I will not avoid those who need my help of course but I will avoid them if they just want to talk to me, it usually gets real awkward talking to really anyone because they don't understand my blindness fully" she replies with a shrug "So what about you, are you fan of talking to humans?"

Jace bit his lip, overwhelmed with sadness for this mute girl with a dead past. "I'm sorry," he said, reaching forward just shy of touching her. "I shouldn't have asked."
He put his hand down, deciding not to touch her. She seemed to be in two worlds, feet stuck in both.

"It's fine." Mute insisted, she gave a long overdue smile to the fallen angel. Her brain told her to move further away from his hand when it was close to her but she was unable to move, she felt like she had broken down at the thought of her grandfather. All she wanted to do was hold onto her scimitar sword; her grandfather's old sword, and relive the moment when he first made this weapon.

(Rein is open!)
Rein hovered in mid hair. Her soft pink, orange and purple hair fell just below her shoulder blades as she looked around.

Appearance: long curly ginger hair, hazel eyes, baggy sweatshirt, Himalayan hipster pants

Eris shrugged her off of him, angrily. She answered back, "No, I don't understand Ransom. I don't. I don't understand why YOU HAD TO MAKE ME FALL! No one was going to kill me, and if it was you, I would've stayed away." She wiped her tears quickly. He didn't deserve to see her cry, to see her emotions. She added, with a hiss "And I'm not eating anything. I am going to die before I do that, and if you have to, you are going to watch me."

"Someone was going to kill you, and it wasn't me!" Ransom called out. He felt a spike of unhappiness at the thought of her starving to death. "Eris, I can help! If you go on like this you're going to kill a human!"

Jace's lips were still curled down in an unhappy grimace. "It's not fine," he told her, holding her gaze for as long as he was able.
After a pause, he asked her, "What was he like?" Jace wasn't sure if this would make things worse or patch things up, but he wanted to try. "Your grandfather."
