Between Life and Death RP

~Footsteps echoed eerily down an alleyway. A brackish puddle was smashed into a million glittering droplets as a foot skimmed the surface. Drawing back into a concealing crevice of shadows as the alley opened back up into the street, Erin allotted herself a quick intact of slow breath, trying to ease her ragged gasps. She had been running all day long, though she wasn't quite sure of exactly what she was running from.
Reapers, Fallens, Humans.
A lock of brown hair tickled her nose and she let out an involuntary sneeze. Her skilled gaze darted around with the apprehension of being heard.
They all merge together as one inevitable nefarious force.~

Seiri was up on top of the cafe listening to everyone's conversation, when he heard footsteps from down in the alleyway.~

~Bryn risked a glance around the corner and her eyes rested upon the open door to a casual cafe. Hunger swirled up within her belly. When was the last time she had eaten? Bryn abruptly realized she probably hadn't eaten since she last saw Fern at home- and that was almost a full day ago. An unwanted tear welled up in the corner of her eye. She shouldn't have run away again, but it just was impossible to stay in one place, even if Fern did just that. But who knew what malevolent presence could be lurking within their home, just waiting to corner them?
Bryn shook her head to herself. I can't ever go back inside. That's how our mom was Transformed.

Seiri realized the swelling of a year, but didn't want to mess will her yet. He wanted to what she would do next. So he waited.~

Seiri realized the welling of a tear, but didn't want to mess will her yet. He wanted to what she would do next. So he waited.~

~Bryn let out an interminable sigh and let herself slowly slump to the unkempt gravel. Blinking madly, her eyelashes obliterated the tear away into nothingness. The fringes of her sweater trailed down the stone wall, picking up dust and grime, but, truly, Bryn couldn't care less. Why can't I ever stay in one place? Another glance at the cafe, and Bryn finally let herself come to the realization that there was no way she was going in there.~
