Beware Lancaster Fancy Fowl

I finally got my refund. 3 weeks after requesting it. It wasn't because they voluneered to do it either, PayPal forced the refund. They never even responded to the request or the claim, so it went in my favor. I hope others can get their money back as well!

Thanks for those links Steve. I submitted my complaint this morning. I hope others will too given the amount of negative reviews here and elsewhere.

So i ordered on march 5th - 4 juvenile hens. Today he shipped them sent a picture called and gave me a tracking #. Now i dont know what shape they will be in when they arrive... But they are on their way. I will keep you all updated.

Did you ever receive your chicks?

I am sorry i have been watching them to make sure they lived! Yes i did!!! 4 beautiful 8 week old pullets. 2 black and 1 blue Ameraucana. I ordered 4 but he only had 3 pullets so swapped one for a white crested sapphire. I think she has a cold... One puffy closed eye that is red. If she makes it over night i am headed to get medicine 1 st thing tomorrow. She is eating and drinking just seems very tired.

I just kept bugging him saying i would wait and eventually got them.

I have been looking at lots of websites online for chicks. After breeding and showing 100+ breeds of large fowl, bantams, waterfowl and turkeys for the past 40 years, I would not pay more than $10 per chick for chicks from *known* breeders. It may be helpful for anyone interested in getting started to go to a couple poultry shows , NOT SWAPS ,this fall and buy grown stock it is very common for breeders to sell at shows and shows have HUGE sales areas where you can get first hand information directly from the producer. I would not pay $20-$100 for one chick when you could buy grown finished producing stock at the same price

Can you post a picture? Chickens don't get colds.

Here are some pictures of 'Snow'. I have her and all the chicks - whom have always been together isolated from my hens and on medicated feed with electrolytes and Oxytetracycline hci in their water.

Is the eye still closed? Any discharge from the eye or nostrils? Any sneezing or congestion?

It is open has been for a few days now. Still red but open not puffy and she seems to be breathing normally. No discharge or sneezing. I think the combination of the 3 things worked. Keeping them all on it until the food is gone and the medicated water for 7 - 10 days as instructed. Waiting for her eye to not be red. Sound right?
