Most likely kill it. Since it marked it's territory, if removed it'll most likely return to the area.

We lost one to a skunk this year too. Another tidbit of info... they can also fit through a chain link fence. Went right through like a kitten - we had to wrap our kennel with chicken wire.
sorry for your loss. You might get some hate, but I agree kill it. It will keep coming back for more.
We blocked all it's access points yesterday, & we use chicken wire to fence the coop run, anyway so I don't have to worry about larger animals squeezing through the gaps.

Sorry you lost a chicken too. It stinks when you lose birds to predators.
