I need to make something (not too complicated) to take to an outdoor brunch/lunch tomorrow. I can certainly make deviled eggs but would love to branch out if anyone has a favorite recipe for an event like this. It will be the kind of thing where you sit in your camp chair balancing your plate on your lap and there may or may not be plastic forks...
A quick search of the recipe index hasn't given me any ideas yet. I'm still looking.
Thanks!

I make this pasta salad often. It has a sweet taste to it but I love it and have had many compliments. It makes alot.

2 cups mayo
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup vinegar (either white or apple cider will work)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
small green pepper- chopped
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz can and I use fat-free with no noticeable difference)
8 oz fancy shredded cheddar cheese
Bacon bits ( I just eyeball it)
1 lb pasta, cooked and cooled ( I use the walmart brand Radiatore pasta)

Mix all together and chill. It has better flavor if made the day before.

Good luck!

That does look good. Someone has already signed up for a pasta salad though. I should have mentioned I was requested to bring an egg dish!

Chicken and broccoli pie (tastes and looks like quiche)

1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and drained
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (6 ounces)
1 cup cut-up cooked chicken
1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1/2 cup Original Bisquick

mix
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 eggs

Total Time: 1 hour 15 min
1. Heat oven to 400ºF. Grease 9-inch pie plate. Sprinkle broccoli, 1 cup of the cheese, the chicken and onion in pie plate.
2. Stir Bisquick mix, milk, salt, pepper and eggs until blended. Pour into pie plate.
3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 1 to 2 minutes longer or just until cheese is melted. Cool 5 minutes.

I have never had a negative comment about these pies when I make them they are original and rarely have duplicates at a BBQ

OMG see dats' da problem you ladies make it sooo complicated. ya were requested to bring an egg dish! Go to the coop gather all the eggs (maybe more that one days depending on how many). Put em in a large dish wala. I spose ya could hard boil em if ya really wanted to.
lighten up have fun and enjoy life!

Mmmm, guess what I'm bringing? Deviled duck eggs! LOL, I realized I was over thinking it, and what people want is deviled eggs. What I've got is duck eggs. So deviled duck eggs it is. I did hint to DH and DS that scrambled eggs with smoked salmon would make a nice breakfast tomorrow. I'm not holding my breath....
