I don't have a ton of space but I have heard that bantams don't count as chickens. I was thinking quail D'anvers or partridge or blue silkies. I mean in chicken math calculations

They count as chickens, if they weren't chickens, what else would they be?

Partridge Silkies. I like blue Partridge.

I think I will start with the quail d'anvers. What would you suggest for a flock of standard-sized birds? I was thinking speckled Sussex, or possibly dorkings.

Okay.
I'm not sure, cuz I never had those breeds. Maybe Sussex because their genepool is more diverse, & stronger then the Dorkings.

Hey silky do not count nor do Cockerel or Rooster I have one each Smudge is Blue marans but 6 months old Red is EE and just a year I have 4 silky they have their own coop they raise anything I put in there wonderful broody or older pullet teaching the nipples for water
