My magpie duck male isn't doing his job, I WANT DUCKLINGS... sorry. but any thoughts on this?

How old? Is he in eclipse?

I think he is a year old, I never see him mount our hen magpie, and he just follows her closely

He will blow all feathers in about 3 weeks span and lose wing feathers too. Definitely no Drake curl. He will get an odd colour of feather more of a Hen and not breed. Then sheds those and is a randy devil again in nuptial feathers..can last 3 months
