"Bi-polar/depression" How is it this spring

I live with bipolar disorder. I tend to reside on the depressive side most of the time, but have my manic episodes too(that's usually when I buy more chickens or rabbits or stuff). Having pets and now livestock- chickens and rabbits now, goats to come, gives me something to get out of bed for in the morning! Just thought I'd add my 2 cents to this thread. Grateful to find it. Will subscribe and continue on it.

I do the same thing....lol....I got chickens and I just bought 2 more new zealand white rabbits....It really helps having a reason to get up and out of bed Im so happy to have them depend on me... Im glad I started this thread

Hi I have bipolar been diagnosed for 3 years I suffer bad depressions too,im really into animals even more so when im hypermanic LOL im just hoping my new chicken hobby isnt another mania that leaves me exhausted with 1000's of chickens haha! But it offers me some peace from the difficulty of living with this illness and its nice to have a lil world in the back garden you control after being beaten and all the confidence and control you loose with this illness, hope your well and love this thread!

I understand about the 1000's of chickens. I do try to limit myself but sometimes it's really difficult cause they're just so cool and relaxing-nothing like going into the coop and hearing all the chirps and chuckles. Glad to find this thread!

LOL im goin out there now to occupy my self...im gonna let them free range so I can worry about themfor the next 3 hours...and puts anround with the bunnies!! Im so glad I started this thread!!! lol I knew it wasnt just me

Same here im glad its not just me,I bought another chicken today and am buying two more tommorrow =\ there just never enough, what made me laugh is ive only had chicks and the roo ive bought today is quite big ive realised I am a little bit scared of grown chickens,Oh dear what have I done? I better get used to them and quick LOL

lol youll get used to them!!! I know what you mean....they look intimidating at first...dont let that boy give you any trouble...if so pick him up by his legs and let him hang there for a few minutes while parading him around the girls lol...(it actually works)

I bought started pullets 17 wks old right off the hop...It was soooooo nice not having to deal with the babies and all that for a change :) and I didnt have that long of a wait for eggs either whichwas great

Hello everyone! It has been awhile since I checked in thought I would see what all was up to. redrstr you have more rabbits now? Sounds like fun. Did your first rabbit have babies?
I have been battling the med change game and think we have finally gotten it right. Or I am having another manic episode. Whichever it is I'm liking it. LOL. I feel much better than I
have in along time. Having fun watching all my chickens grow and figuring out what they are going to do with their life today. All my new roos are so comical to watch.Three of them were
supposed to be hens but they wanted to be different obviously so that leaves me with 13 hens and 4 roosters from the groups I purchased this year and of course I have old faithful Mr. Rooster
and Ms. Hen. They are keeping me busy and i'm loving it. So good for the soul. Sounds like everyone is having a good summer! Oh, and hubby has six new additions to his beagles. Trudy had babies approx three weeks ago. That brings us up to 13 dogs! I'm glad you started this thread to redrstr!
