Bi sexual chickens

One if my blqck austrolorp chickens is bi-sexual. I have caught her several times 'servicing' the other chickens. She occasionally lays an egg. Is that common?

She is not mating.....just dominating her flock mates. Not uncommon at all, actually.

She's not "bisexual" it's a show of dominance and has nothing to do with any sort of preference.

She's showing her dominance over the others, not mating them. It's pretty common for hens higher on the pecking order to do that.

I agree with the above posts.
I actually have a hen that assists the rooster with mating other hens... she will help chase them down, and peck at their heads until they squat for the rooster. Not every time, but I’ve seen her do it. She’s my most dominant girl.
