Heyyyy Ty for the invite!
This has been on my mind today - it’s not a verse but it’s an old poem by C T Studd ( 1860-1931)
It’s pretty long
But basically, I was just thinking about the “chorus”

Two little lines I heard one day,
Traveling along life’s busy way;
Bringing conviction to my heart,
And from my mind would not depart;

Only one life, ’twill soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last.​

Only one life, yes only one,
Soon will its fleeting hours be done;
Then, in ‘that day’ my Lord to meet,
And stand before His Judgement seat;

I just ordered some t-shirts in preparation for the Easter season, I can’t wait for them to arrive! Two are “He is Risen” theme and one says “But if not, God is still good” (theme from the lives of Shadrach Meshach and Abednigo, which I adore and always have to tell myself this.) Hi, thanks for the tag! I like to start at the beginning.
Genesis 1:1 through 2:3 describe how God created everything in the beginning and declared it all "very good."

But an enemy came and messed things up with his lies. Gen. 3:4, 5.

But God had a plan to redeem humanity:
Gen. 3:15.

Jesus was the fulfillment of that promise:
Luke 19:10.

And one day soon He will come to restore all that was lost:
Rev. 21:5

And that's the Story of the Cosmic Conflict, in a nutshell!

When I went to church Sunday the whole sermon was about how we can’t be strong Christians if we’re not in the word, so I think this’ll be a good way to encourage one another.

i start my day with 2 to 3 chapters of the bible. i am in 1Chronicles 23. the story of king david is fascinating. there is a new series on prime about david. very good so far. i read the bible through and then start again from genesis to revelation.
