Oh MD, there is so much you have that I am after......I mean.... NO you silly it's not the canoe I want. But just to really cover all my bases, was that ebay or what that the canoe is on???????
I recently bid on some auction eggs and did not win the auction. However, after the auction ended, the seller e-mailed to say they had more eggs available and to ask if I wanted them at the same price as the winning bid. Of course, I replied, "Yes".
I think that there were only two of us bidding on the eggs and now I can't help but wonder if we'd both have the eggs for a few dollars less if I had not been bidding under the influence of egg hatching fever (EHF).
The way I figure, most of the eggs I've been bidding on are not production breeds (super egg layers or meat birds). So, if the egg auction price gets a little out of hand, I'm not likely to be keeping someone from getting hatching eggs to produce food for their family or make a living. Under those conditions the eggs are like any other commodity which are not needed for survival (a "want" not a "need"). Therefore, all is fair in bidding on eggs which will become cute, fuzzy, pet chickies.
When I lose I always hope the seller will contact me with "extras"......lol.
Now what is really bad is when you bid more than you wanted to and win the auction then turn around and contact the seller and say I see you're auctioning such and such...any chance I could just buy 6 of those eggs and pay extra postage... I usually explain there is no way I can handle the whole dozen they are auctioning (plus the auction I just won from them) ,and that is why I didn't bid on that auction as well..lol.
In fact I did that again last week....lol.
Good luck on your bidding !!!! It can be fevered!!!

I would have THUNK it, everyone that is biddding on anything is trying to contact you asking not to run up the price on what thier bidding on. The canoe is on E-bay, but I have been outbid and not going any higher, so you can bid it you want
If I were the one posting eggs on Ebay, I'd say BID AWAY!!
But If I'm the one bidding don't bid (ebay Id is Dsthings)
Just kidding.
I've contacted sellers and since they have a replenishing supply of eggs, they work with me on timing and such. So if it gets too high, just e-mail and ask if they will have more next week or something.
I was going to bid on something yesterday and then saw it was someone from here who had the bid, so I didn't! Now if it was something I thought I'd never get another shot at and really wanted or needed, I'd probably go ahead and bid.
bidding is all part of the fun - game. Not sure anyone will come looking for you. I agree with katy. if you think it will be the only one ever then you better get working.
