Oh I'm so sorry to hear that! That's so rough!Come on Marshmallow!!! I just had a very rough hatch and I know how hard it is when the babies quit. I believe mine was a humidity issue - I was using an incubator that doesn’t have good humidity control. And virtually all of the babies had very dry membranes. 8/20 didnt make it out of shellbut of the 12 that are out, they are starting to perk up and I think that at least 10 of them are going to be okay. Which is a miracle because I had to assist basically all of them.
Your son will do great with the eggs! Cant wait to see how your hatch turns out!!
I think mine dropped too much at night before the first external pips maybe on the first batch. I'm keeping a very close eye on things this go around in hopes of figuring out the issues. None of ours are in direct sunlight or near any air vents, so I'm losing my mind trying to figure it out. Hopefully the Govees will shed some light on things. That's WONDERFUL though despite it being a hard fought battle! Thank goodness they had you! Sometimes they just need a little help and it's so awesome you were there and able to. I aspire to one day be able to help that well.

With our first eggs, the MOMENT we got our first pip, he was in every five minutes. “Any progress?” Five more. “How about now?” It was like an “are we there yet”.
Let's go Dessert chickies! Y'all are almost fully baked! Keep going little ones!
