Big lump on the side of neck

This girl has had this nasty looking thing on her neck for at least a month. I thought she just had lost some feathers from a near miss with a hawk until I noticed it was moving around as she walks. It's like a goiter and just kind of wobbles with her movement. It's on the side of her neck, not the underneath. She is acting

normal otherwise. I don't know if she's laying, too many others to sort that fact out, but she acts entirely normal and even maintains her spot on the top roost where the more dominant hens get to sleep.
 
It could be a cyst or tumor. A vet could tell you what's underneath there.

It looks like she (if she can reach that) or another hen has been picking/plucking the feathers in that area. Apply some Blu Kote or Pick No More to help hide the redness and heal any broken skin. Check her over for any signs of lice/mites as well.

Watch to see if another hen is plucking at her when roosting. If she is eating, drinking well and active, then personally I would leave it be. If it grows or gets worse, then having it checked would be a good idea.
 
She definitely has or has had mites. I've been battling them for months, still am. I now have elector
