Big silkie

I have only had silkie soup in Chinese herbal soup; and those herbs are nasty. Can't really tell if Silkie tastes any different than lighter chickens from that soup, since it all tastes like nasty herbs. Personally I like dark meat, and if Silkie has almost no body fat, then its not really my kind of chicken...

And I would be interested too in a 10 lb silkie! Put me on your list, give me the friends and family rate!

Shadowpaoints - I'd be interested in hatching eggs for standard sized silkies, if they lay med to large eggs.

Mmmm... I LOVED the soup... but personally I like the bitterness...
Do you have the recipe by any chance?

Not speaking to my mother and don't plan on to (due to cultural clashing) but I sure do miss her cooking.
I'd eat silkies I guess, but they're worth more live to me as pets lol than food... they're also great for being broody <3
I don't know if my parents would accept another colored silkie other than white - I know we have ALWAYS had silkies. Period.

here she is with one of my sex link pullets. both of them are almost 1 year old!
silkies are one of the slowest breeds to mature. hens, it takes from 11-14 months. you must be patient with her.
