Had a guy put a turkin hen in my coop while I was not at home. Noticed it wheezing the next day, should have taken it away then but I never. Monday, I had a dozen chickens wheezing ,coughing, Hiccups, chirping and yellow runny poop. I have lost two thirds of my chickens in the last 2 days. The healthy ones I have seperated. I believe they have respiratory fungus, all the symptoms match perfectly. I also have one less so-called friend now also!

So sorry. If you can get a necropsy done by your State department on your next loss. Often they do them for very little cost. Tylan 50 injections in the breast muscle, twice a day for 3 days often is helpful with respiratory illnesses although they often become carriers of the disease they have. Is there a bad smell about them, especially around the face? If so Coryza could be the offender....if not there are many different virus/fungus/bacteria that could be involved. Make sure to only handle sick birds after dealing with healthy ones, change clothes and wash hands as it is often spread in the air or on clothes etc... Best Wishes

Thanks for the advice. I have 6 healthy(or the appear so at the moment) hens out of 35. 14 in isolation,2 of them appear to be pretty good today. 2 hens in another pen that show no signs of sickness after being isolated for 3 days. 15 dead since Monday. The cochins seemed to be hit the hardest and quickest.
