I wish there was a sticky somewhere saying "Postal guarantees are just money-back guarantees, NOT IN ANY WAY a statement about certainty of arrival date".

Sorry you had to discover this and other things the hard way, but you did what you thought was right and meant well, it is not your fault.

Big hug,

Pat

It looks like they got cold. Maybe next time use a smaller box so they can have more cuddle time?

I think I remember you saying that they were going to the East Coast. The weather has been really crummy here the last 2-3 days with the highs in the 40s and 50s. They may have been fine if the temp was higher.

pips&peeps :

Are you also aware that hand warmer packs usually range way over 105 degrees?

Yes but they will not raise the box temp more than 10 degrees, they arent nuke packs. I've seen this mentioned a lot. Try an experiment, drop on in a box with a thermometer, it'll raise it just a few degrees, the colder it is out side usually even less. I use them year round on our day olds, with great results and usually hear back that they are piled on top of them on arrival for warmth, far better than not usuing one I think,

I am aware of hand warmers, I can say with all confidence that they did not get too hot. I have tested handwarmers before I ever used them.
Honestly, at this point I don't think anyone needs to be placing blame on anyone except the PO.
Plain and Simple, THEY DID NOT DELIVER AS GUARANTEED!!!!

I am out chicks, the buyer is out chicks and we are both hurt and disappointed. Please if you want to blame someone, do not post on this thread. I was simply trying to vent my frustration, I did not post this to be grilled about how I should have done it.
I did what the buyer and I agreed upon, if either of us had thought this would have turned out this way, we would have waited.
I do not feel I need to explain my actions any further.

I thank everyone for their condolences. This is a very sad thing, for anyone.

I will update as to what happens at the PO tomorrow and how this all turns out. The buyer does not hold me responsible and has been very understanding through this entire situation, we are working together to resolve this for both of us.
