I just remembered, last year my DH saw a monkey sitting on the side of the road in the TX panhandle out in the middle of nowhere, eating something. He said it was about three feet tall sitting, and reddish orange.

We all teased him about it forever, but I believe him, He doesnt just 'see things'. I figured it was just a zoo escapee. Maybe not....

i love him. i still listen to the only 3 cds he ever made. i started to get into him and then he passed away. I was sooooo mad.....

Sigh. I have my share of stories about this too. Seriously, I think the place I grew up (and now live in the same area) could be a whole X-files by itself, lol.

I spend a lot of time in the woods of NW Oregon elk hunting, and while I have never seen Bigfoot, I do believe he is real.
More times that I can count, I have heard/smelled/sensed what I believe to be Bigfoot.
Spooky.
My grandmother, who passed away in December of lung/liver cancer, told her story of when she saw Bigfoot many times.
She was head waitress at a local restaurant, on her way home, and in the ditch leaning up against a road sign stood what she could only identify as Bigfoot.
She told me the ditch was about 3 feet deep, and the creature was standing level with the sign, so he was VERY tall.
She said it was like looking into a persons face, she looked at his face, and felt like she got caught staring at some one. She looked away, because she felt embarrassed staring, and when it registered that it wasn't human, and looked back, it was gone.
She was a VERY honest woman, and I COMPTETELY believed her.

I just wish whack jobs would stop stuffing ape suites into freezers, claiming they found him, it makes all of us who believe, sound crazy...

Do you mean the florida skunk ape? I saw a "picture" of it on wikipedia. Even though I don't quite believe it, I still was creeped out at night.

I believe in Atlanta also, I've been to that part of Georgia!

I think you meant to type Atlantis.

Thanks to all responding.

Connie- I think the Monster Quest show about the "skunk-ape" had more evidence than anything else I've seen. Scary!

Warmfuzzies- Sounds crazy but I know how your Dh feels. We were working on a ranch in east Texas. We were going to move cattle early one morning,I was backed up to the chute waiting on the others to arrive when I saw a monkey walking on 2 legs coming across the pasture. It had its hands in the air doing his little monkey walk. I watched him for about 15 min. No mistaking what it was. Did I mention the ranch was 13,000 acres at the end of a dead end road? Never again dropped my guard there. Oh, and nobody but my Dh believed me.
