the top one is one of my average silkie eggs, then a lemon, then a double yolker, then a normal naked neck egg

Some birds are more prone to double yolkers, they’re particularly common in new layers.

Wow! My EE who just started laying has had 3 double yolk eggs so far, I feel bad for her because they are so big!

I just candled a bunch of regular sized barred rock eggs, now day ten incubator, some look double chick-ed, if any quit I will open up and find out. The lady selling them said some of her eggs have been double yolked.
