Bigger eggs

My chickens just started laying last week. They are small but tasty! I was wondering how long before they get normal size. Do I give them anything to make them bigger. I know that sounds stupid but I had to ask.

what is "normal" size? My BR lays every day and all of them have been exactly 1.75oz or a medium store bought egg size. She has been laying for a week. I thought she was just a medium egg layer. So for my breed's what is considered "normal"?

With heavy birds they usually in most cases lay large eggs,, I would say if you are getting medium they will get bigger how much bigger,, who knows, but Bigger.. Here is a good referance

You know there was some scientific study on the net that said feeding chickens fresh peanuts will make the eggs bigger.I tried it as the experiment went and I got the same conclusion.I did get slightly bigger eggs, but then no eggs due to too much peanut in their system.When I went back to laying crumbles,they layed again,but after 2 weeks in peanut detox.
