Leghorns are great. I grew up with whites and for a few years as an adult, I had blacks. One black leghorn raised at least one clutch of eggs every year for me.Thanks, I love my leghorns (see the avatar?)

We even had whites that were broody. However, we always kept 100 hens so the chances of some setters was heightened. We kept 3 or 4 homemade broody jail cages hanging from the ceiling of the hen house. It seemed like there were always a couple in jail.Wow mine are never broody!
Wow! He is a very pretty Roo! That is a HUGE comb! He looks similar to my Rhode Island red Hailey she also has a big comb. They would probably be good friends! I have never seen a roo perch on somebody's shoulder! He sure acts like a parrot! Teach him to talk and he would really be one! LOL He's Awesome!Too late for this but this is our boy Parrot. He got his name because as an awkward teenager the hens were picking on him so he would ride on my shoulder for food. He is now quite the Rhode Island Red character.View attachment 2492912
