So the BLT’s spent their 1st night outside last night!!! I set me up a night cam and have been able to watch them while outside and I’m in the house. They did great last night. It’s bittersweet sweet but it was time. These last 8 weeks have been a roller coaster of blood sweat and tears of joy! They love it outside. Bill the hen is still not down with having these guys around and Ted will have to stay locked up while the BLTS are out free ranging. Ted thinks that they fair game for mating with....but a beg to differ!

Do you use straw for their bedding in their coop area?

Empty nest syndrome is hard to get over that is why we always encourage getting more ducklings.

I just read this whole thread. Great job and thank you for posting. I really want ducklings now! I think I'm going to wait until next year though.
