Billy Bob 5 gallon bucket lid flytrap?

saw this at my local feed store today so I picked one up has anyone ever tried this? What did you use for bait? How well did it work? How did you empty it without letting a bunch of flies out?
Hoping to save money with this one time purchase because normally every summer I go through about a dozen large size fly trap bags. You know the ones that smell like death, but they work great.?

I believe it's similar to other reusable traps and you need to fill the bucket with water, probably 1/2 to 3/4 full, and flies will drown. We have fly jars that work the same. They sell attractants, or you can use other things like what listed on that link. We use a bit of cat food. They can get stinky with use so be prepared.
