I received my eggs from Spitzbros Homestead today. Thank you again @jolenesdad for organizing Chicken Poop Bingo!!
Like @Demonwolf37 , this is my first time incubating shipped eggs, so keeping my fingers crossed for both of us and our hatches:fl

I received 1 Jubilee Orpington, 2 Ameraucana, 2 Copper Marans and 7 Olive Egger eggs. The eggs were well packed in foam, batting, and 2 boxes. Shipping time was just under 48 hours.

My incubator is a Kebonnixs 12 egg. Thermometer/ hygrometer is an Inkbird ITH-10

I candled the eggs today. None of them appeared to be cracked. I can only see into 4 of the eggs even using 2 lights, but all 4 had detached air cells. I'm letting them sit until tomorrow before setting them into the incubator.

So an important reminder to have your generator ready to go when hatching eggs... A tropical storm passes through, not even a slight fluctuation in power. One of the few pleasant days we've had in weeks and the power goes out this morning🤦‍♀️
Fortunately, I'm not setting the eggs until this afternoon and we have the generator going to keep the incubator warm🙂

Eggs went into the incubator today. Since the air cells are detached, I'm going to try incubating them vertically, at least at first. I removed the egg turner and placed the eggs on rings cut from toilet paper tubes.
Temperature is holding steady at 99.5. The humidity is finally stabilizing to the mid 40's. I went ahead and set the eggs before the power came back on because the house was getting hot enough that I was worried the eggs might start developing, but at too low a temperature. The humidity was initially in the 60's (as was the humidity in the entire house), but came back down when the power was restored.
Since I can't see into the eggs, I weighed each of them before they went into the incubator.
I wish we had been able to find my son's jeweler's scale for more accurate measurements. Yes, we have lots of weird random stuff in our house. So many left overs from various science projects.

Egg #1 Jubilee Orp. 54g #7 OE 60g
#2 Ameraucana 51g #8 OE 59g
#3 Ameraucana 50g #9 OE 53g
#4 Marans 54g #10 OE 54g
#5 Marans 55g #11 OE 59g
#6 OE 56g #12 OE 59g

Day 7 update is a day late. I candled yesterday, but then spent a chunk of the day at the vet with our dog - she is feeling much better today.
I realized that I didn't post any pictures of the first day, so I will add the ones that turned out now too. With all that was going on, I just did a quick candle and back into the incubator.
I could see veins in # 1-4, but couldn't see into the rest very clearly😕
I'm pretty sure olive egger #6 is a yolker and that olive egger #11 didn't make it, but I will check again on day 10 and discard if no changes.
Note: my phone is not cooperating so hopefully I can edit this a little on my computer🤦‍♀️

Did another super quick candle for day 10 without pictures. Apparently I had my copper marans confused when I thought I saw veins on day 7. Copper marans #4 showed nothing today. Olive egger #6 also showed no life today. I removed both of them and cracked them open. Neither showed any development.
On the bright side, I saw movement in Olive egger #11😀. Glad I left it in after day 7. I was also able to see movement in the Jubillee Orpingon egg and one of the Ameraucana eggs tonight😄 I am a bit worried about my other Ameraucana egg though.
Most of the other eggs are still too dark to see into. Since the air cells on some eggs are saddled, I am reluctant to turn them over for candling, (I use the built-in light in the top of the incubator) but I definately need a brighter light to shine down into the top of the eggs🤔 My little pen light just isn't bright enough.
