We are currently looking for fertilized eggs (tough time of year I know) but have a question about bio security.
We have been warned to look into the biosecurity practises of any farm or supplier we want to purchase eggs from, however should this be a concern when purchasing eggs...or just when purchasing chicks or pullets?

It can be of concern, because some diseases, like MG, are actually passed straight to the chick in the egg from the parent birds, so if they have the disease, the chicks that hatch from their eggs can, too. All that can really be done about that is to buy from a trustworthy seller that has disease free birds and practices biosecurity themselves.
