Correct me if I am wrong, but don't most single celled organisms go through asexual reproduction? The organism my teacher said went through sexual reproduction. Even so, I still may have to bring this up in class.

Yeast are neither plant nor animal, they are fungi. My cell biology teacher, whose speciality was non-vascular plants, felt that they were animals. And as proof used that fact that Purina makes a "mushroom chow".

The Five Kingdom are Plant, Animal, Fungi, Monera (procaryotic organisms especially blue-green algae) and Protista which includes most algae and bacteria and protazoans.
