I just hatched a bunch out and im trying to learn as much as I can about the standard type during this (beginning) life stage

here some Birchen chicks from my line .
they look exactly like a black copper .

Sorry to butt in here but do you think my birchen is s roo? I was sold her saying she was. Lack copper and then that neck came in and Nope. But she/he is beautiful and probably my fave one out of this new flock. I hope it's a she . So sweet.

she is a pullet and she has a gorgeous hackle .

Hi all! I love this site - been reading off and on for a couple of years, but just joined recently. Purchased some pure + mixed fertile eggs for our broody hen, and had one egg marked 'purebred' Birchen hatch. This is the result. Pretty sure it's a roo, but no silver coming out. He's about 20% smaller than his hatchmates too.

Super friendly, loves to be picked up! Thoughts?
