Do you mean she keeps opening her mouth like she is panting or gasping. I wonder if she could have gapeworms. You may want to put that in the search box and check it out.

If you have a q-tip, you can try to gently swish it around the back of her throat. If it comes out with tiny worms or a bit of blood, she has gapeworm

A friend lost a hen to it, she kept thinking it had a cold and treated with alka seltzer cold medicine. When the bird died she saw worms come out of her mouth . She always treats her birds with any thing she has handy and she has lost a few because she thinks she knows best.
