Bird Seed???

I have a small 5lbs bag of bird seed, i bought for my Zebra finches. But they were killed by our neighbors cat. I dont plan on buy anymore Finches. So I was wondering if I could feed it to my chickens? Will there be any side effects. Is it a bad or good thing?
