Does anyone else have a bird that does tricks? Echo will do anything for some cooked oatmeal so I trained her to do several cute things. Now I've noticed she will actually try to "perform" new tricks to get more treats and attention. She will flap her wings and pick up random toys/objects and drop them inside cups on the table. She is going on 2 years old and is really becoming a member of the family. I noticed that training her has brought us very close. Before I started training she wouldn't let me touch her besides her feet. Now I can flip her upside down and even scoop her up like a chicken, haha. She has been talking and playing more and seems much happier. I would suggest to anyone trying to make a bond with their parrot to look into "Clicker Training". I also have been giving her and all my other birds fresh food everyday. Corn, Kale, Apple, Carrot, Plum, Banana, Whole Wheat Toast, Unflavored Cereal, Pappya, Cooked Pasta, Cooked Eggs, etc. Her overall behavior has improved!
