I have a little robin fledgling who is injured- the rescue lady said it sounds like a broken pelvis by my description and that I should just put him out of his misery because robins are common and it takes too long for them to heal. I understand where she's coming from, but he's such a spirited fellow that I'd like to at least give him a shot. I have no idea how I should accommodate this potential injury though and I'd like to hear from other bird owners about what sort of care they provided to their feathered friends.

Thanks!

Most birds can survive a pelvic fracture with cage rest. Might have an abnormal gait. However, if the victim is a female she will mostly likely die trying to push the egg through an abnormal pelvis.
