I just love these birds! 

Wow those are all so pretty! Apparently we have them in the summer. I'll have to watch out for them this year!

The Rose-breasted Grosbeaks love sunflower seeds! They are basically finches however and will eat millet and even niger seed.

As for those pesky squirrels, I hang my feeders on tall poles too, don't place them too close to trees where the squirrels can jump or hang down onto the feeders. And yes, baffles really do help.

Oh how cool! I have never seen a grouse!

i really only see grouse when where out hunting (never shot one yet but there tasty as i have eaten them before) but rarely see ruffed grouse, really only the sharp tail.

also too bad with all the coyotes we have as we used to have Hungarian partridges where i live.
