Birds are life
So I have had a hard time with pumpkins this year. Of course 2 pumpkins started and they were both chewed by mice/whatever rodent .
I planted 3 Varieties; Casper (white pumpkins), Sugar (tiny, cute pumpkins) and Big Max (GIANT pumpkins). All the big max pumpkins died before producing an actual pumpkin, but now I have (a different) 2. One is a casper (which is still growing) and the other is a sugar. The sugar looks a little odd since it's my first year growing pumpkins, but I was able to pick it.
You know a pumpkin is ready to pick when the stem is dead.
